IMPORTANT: Regarding engaging of cleaning staff for household work

Dear Fellow OBMers,

Many residents of our complex have engaged our cleaning staff for carrying out household work in their flats. Although this has been a mutually beneficial relationship for residents and the staff, of late we have noticed some unhealthy trends and practices from the part of the staff. This is leading to situations which is making it very difficult to maintain a disciplined work environment within our complex.

In the last meeting of the managing committee, we discussed in detail about this issue and have decided to stop the practice of engaging our cleaning staff for carrying out household work within individual flats. Hence we request you all to stop using the services of our cleaning staff for work within the flats by April 20th, 2013. We will instruct the staff not to work in flats after April 20th, 2013. If you want to use their services to meet any adhoc needs, please submit a written request in our office for the same and engage the staff only with the approval from the secretary of our association.

We understand the inconvenience this will cause, but in the interest of maintaining smooth operations in our premises, this is an essential step. We seek your wholehearted cooperation on this.

Note: Owners of all apartments which are rented out, may please inform their tenants of this decision immediately.
